The Nicholson House Inn

Nicholson House Inn was originally built by the Nicholson Family in 1905. It served as home to 3 generations of Nicholsons until the 1970's when I became the owner. It's undergone a few remodels and additions since it was originally built but still has the look and feel of it's history. Many of the doors, windows, hardware, trim and other elements around the main building are original materials.

The property is located in the Heart of Mendocino adjacent to open meadows that look out to the sea. We have great rooms, plush feather beds, beautiful ocean views, reasonable rates, pet and child friendly. We also offer friendly service, complementary continental breakfast, and free Wi-FI. We are conveniently located next to restaurants and spas. You can park your car when you get here and never need it again until you are ready to leave. Since the whole town is surrounded by the ocean, it is an easy stroll to Big River Beach, the Headlands State Park and around town.

Mendocino Village is located on the rugged Mendocino Coast of Northern Californa..where the redwoods meet the rugged Pacific Ocean. An historical preservation district filled with boutique shops, art galleries and fine restaurants.

General Information

Rooms The Nicholson House Inn offers a variety of room types. Each room has it's own theme and characteristics. We have several individual bedrooms for 2 people at very reasonable prices. We also have 2 apartment suites that can sleep 4. Each of these suites has a living room, kitchen and bedroom. All rooms have private baths.	Rates We have a variety of rates to accommodate various seasons and situations. Summer time is the high season, spring and fall are mid season and winter is low season. In addition we have reduced rated on weekdays. We always have at least one room per night for less than $100.	Discounts Many people may qualify for discounts. We encourage you to look and see if you are one of the groups that do. Anyone can get a 5% discount on your first stay by becoming a Facebook Friend of the Nicholson House Inn. Our continental breakfast is very filling, hearty, healthy and tasty. Each day there are a variety of fresh baked goods, cereals, fruits, bagels, muffins, meats, cheeses and hard boiled eggs. Policies Nicholson House Inn is one of the few inns around that accept pets and children. We behaved pets are always welcome and we can even do a gift basket for them.
