When we speak of pets, we really mean dogs. Well behaved dogs are allowed for an extra charge of $20/night. We allow a maximum of 2 dogs in each of the following rooms only: Grandma’s Hideaway, Presbyterian Views and the Admiral’s Deck. Pets are not allowed in any other rooms. Our pet policy is simple: you are responsible for your pet at all times during your visit with us. We provide you with pet sheets to protect our furniture and linens. Use them to avoid excessive cleaning fees. Pets may not be left alone anywhere on the our property at any time. Leashes are a must at all times. Please clean up after your pet, and always keep your dog on a leash. You, as the pet owner, are financially responsible for any and all damage caused by your pet, including labor, replacement and materials.
Most inns in Mendocino do not allow children. Nicholson House is more than happy to have well behaved children visit us. There are limitations though. All of the upstairs individual rooms are close together and noisy children can easily disturb other guests. As such, children are allowed only in Grandma's Hideaway, Presbyterian Views and the Admiral's Deck as these units o er a bit more privacy and are located in somewhat more secluded locations. We do not have extra beds or cots. Both the suites have a sofa bed that is generally adequate for children. We have a pack-and-play crib and futon mattress, if needed. Just make sure you inform us of your additional needs when making your reservation.
