Pet Friendly

Since we also love pets and ourselves are fond of taking our pets (especially dogs) along with us on vacations, we made sure that at least some ofour rooms are pet-friendly. So if you are traveling with your four-footed friend, we try to make your life a little easier by preparing a little doggy-basket for them (and you). It’s really not much – just a small assortment of towels and sheets that’ll help you dry her after a romp in the ocean or clean his paws after an afternoon of furiously digging holes on the beach. Oh, and we also put some little doggy-treats in basket to reward them for their good behavior.

Jump into Our Spa!

Our guest have told us that they really appreciate being able to indulge themselves in our newly renovated Sweetwater Eco Spa. Every guest is invited to dip into our communal redwood hot-tub and enjoy a relaxing trip to our sauna, or schedule a soothing massage with one of our talented massage-therapists. These amazing folks have mastered all kinds of the healing arts, from Swedish/Esalen massage to craniosacral therapy, from pre-natal to deep-tissue massage, and from hot-stone to Shiatsu treatments. Other specialty treatments are also available. Ask our spa receptionist if you have a favorite. We also feature private hot-tubs and traditional as well as infrared saunas for a small charge, as well as a fairly complete line of health and beauty products. And because we are a long-established enterprise with an extensive history of serving our rather relaxed Mendocino community, the communal hot tub and sauna are clothing optional.

Our not-so-continental breakfast

Each day from 8:30 am to 9:30 our guests can be seen enjoying a rather generous breakfast. Conventionally it’s called a “Continental Breakfast,” but that doesn’t really describe our sumptuous morning offerings. Breakfast starts with an egg dish – such as a frittata or a quiche – followed by fresh fruits and berries, your choice of juice, fresh coffee and cream, milk, or an assortment of teas with honey, raw sugar or agave sweeteners. You might also be tempted by our freshly baked hot scones and other baked goods. Or you might choose our delicious homemade granola, or oatmeal, yogurt, and, of course, your choice of toast.
